1. Initiative proposal:

+ Intermediate tank: 5000 liters

+ Turbochargers.

+ Water pipe: approximately 4280m

- Total cost: 223.310.912 VND

- Cost-effective: The investment for one person in a year is only about 26,000 VND but creating great and long-term benefits.  As presented in the impact section, it shows the high cost-effectiveness of the project.

2. Expectation outcomes/changes:

- Bring clean water to 1,000 people in Tan Dien neighborhood and 700 students of neighboring neighborhoods.

- Reduce the number of spontaneous drilling wells, avoiding the risk of groundwater pollution.

- Provide clean water to ensure long-term health and hygiene.

- Improve the quality of life.

- Help the local community to confidently and boldly voice their opinions.

- Create solidarity for the local community and build a better hometown.

3. The community / beneficiaries that the idea aims to:

- The number of households is 200 with 1,000 people and 700 students in the neighborhood.

- People live in Tan Dien neighborhood, Phong Dien Commune, Tran Van Thoi District, Ca Mau Province

- Mainly employed in aquaculture and fishing, women focus on small businesses, cash crops, livestock, and seasonal hired laborers.

- The organization belongs to this community.

4. Challenges of the community / beneficiaries to which the idea is directed:

- Heavily affected by the saline intrusion, water contaminated with alum in many years.

- In the near future, it will be deeply flooded by climate change, making life more difficult.

- Lack of clean water in the dry months.

- Spontaneous drilling wells do not guarantee hygiene and potential risks of groundwater pollution.

- Economic and social are underdeveloped.

- The local budget is limited.

- Costly to buy living water for 12,000 VND/bottle of 20 litters.

- The old Tan Dien clean water supply system shows signs of damage and deterioration.

1. Stakeholder Involvement (Financial / Professional / In-kind Contribution):

- Mentally and contributing resources: the project has the participation of the beneficiary community, the local authorities, the Women's Union of Ca Mau province, the drilling team of Van Nong well, Chuoi Cau Gieo Duyen Charity, the Charity Association Vietnam Arms, and the Vu-Vo Phuong Nam Community Organization 

- In terms of Management: Project advocacy, management and supervision are staffed by individuals with bachelor's degrees, years of experience and local living.

2. Project Personnel (Number & Specialization):

- Project Director: 5 years experience in managing construction records of roads traffic.

- Deputy Director: 10 years of experience in supervising construction works in the commune.

- The team of volunteers has Mr. Tran Van Cong with 7 years of management experience at clean water center.

- Construction team: Van Nong, 10 years of experience in finding water vessels and drilling wells.

- Chuoi Cau Gieo Duyen charity group: the leader is Nun Thich Nu Toan

Lien, chaired and successfully called funds for nearly 20 community development projects.

- Vong Tay Viet Charity Association, the chairman is Mr. Nguyen Tiet Tri, has performed and called successfully 131 bridges, 12 houses and 5 tanks of clean water.

- CVOVS has sponsored and verified this project. CVOVS has organized, implemented and appealed successfully for 17 bridges, 3 toilets, 3 learning kits for 3 preschool, and a clean water well system.

- Mr. Vu Thanh Ha: Advisor CVOVS, Head of Public Mechanics Laboratory Process and Equipment of the Institute of Applied Mechanics and Informatics
